As part of my plan/goal for 2020, I want to lose weight and get jacked up. I’ve gone through quite a journey, historically speaking, and given my sort of bumpy road of losing weight, then gaining weight, and then being content, and then not being content with my weight, I have got some good motivation here.
Below is what I used to look like back at the start of 2018:
I don’t usually take pictures in front of mirrors and post them online (but fuck it), but this will serve as a good reminder of what I had before when I was absolutely wrecking it at the gym.
I think I was about 75kg and I was going to the gym most days. This was back in 2018 as well when I was frequently attending some pretty intense gym classes at the Fitness First on Oxford Street.
I now weigh in at 91kg as you can see from my January fitness plan that I’m hoping to shred some fat off and build up some muscle with a combination of cardio and lifting weights.
I am by no means obese, even though I weigh 91kg – according to the NHS’ BMI calculator I am within a healthy weight range. I think the last time I weighed this much was back 2008, and I didn’t really look fat, but I definitely had more fat hanging around than I wanted – though I am slightly taller compared to 2008, so things aren’t terrible.
I do have a before picture which I’ve taken today, so I’ll be able to do a before and after. I guess with the picture I’ve posted in this blog post, I can do a before, after, and then after. 😀
So, to answer the question, I’d like to get back to this weight level:
