I went around and did some thinking for an unspecified amount of time. I didn’t really care about the time that I was wasting doing nothing but purely thinking. But the thing is, I don’t have a clue what I was thinking about. What is there to think about when your life sucks and there is nothing you can do about it. Either way, if I do, do something then I’m going to always hurt someone. I wish I could explain it.
Either way, it was a good going out, even thought it was raining. Taichung Park is quite beautiful and I especially liked it when there was no one there, since it was raining. I had the park all to myself.
But I was thinking about my parent and my sister. My sister doesn’t know the full picture, nor does she know how I feel at-all. I feel like shit right now, but she doesn’t know that. At least she has friends she can rely on. I have no one. I am alone in this world I feel. I have my dad I can relate to but even still I need someone else. I can’t go on living like this. Hopefully when I go into university to learn Chinese I’ll make some really good friends. I just feel really alone and sad because of this.
I’m scared for my future…
I guess I’m a little worried for my future. Or for a future I don’t have or one that I don’t want, essentially one that sucks. When walking to the park I saw two homeless people, they carry around 20 plastic bags around and they look through garbage to find bottles, cans and other raw materials so they can sell them to the recycling yard. I just don’t want that to ever be me. I’m sure those guys who are now homeless and are at the bottom of life would appreciate any help they could get. I mean what brought them to a situation to where they are now living on the streets. We were all innocent kids once, what in gods name cursed them into a situation where they are now living on the streets. As I write this now, 5-10 years from now I could be on the streets. In fact this blog won’t even exist. What will stop the inevitable if I run out of money or if I can’t make money? This is the capitalistic gnome of things. You can’t make money? Well guess what pal, you are fucked.

I game quite a bit on my computer however only really play one game and that is Project Reality, I am an admin on a popular server, so I guess that kind of makes me qualified to post on getting a mouse which fits to your hand perfectly.
I’ve bought 4 PC mouses since I’ve been in Taiwan and I can tell you the best that I have bought have come from a company named iRocks. They make very good PC mouses. However my original iRocks mouse went wrong, I lost the black round things which attach to the four corners of the mouse, they just fell off and I couldn’t find them. So I had to buy a new mouse since I couldn’t find where to buy replacements for them. I originally had this mouse:

I-ROCKS IR-7571L
But as said previously the black things which attach to the four corners fell off (Not all of them, just one of them) which caused my mouse to spasm even when I didn’t touch or move it. – i.e. I could see my mouse moving even though I didn’t move it. I attached tape to that corner and tried some other stuff, but it still didn’t fix the problem. It was affecting my gameplay as I couldn’t aim accurately. I went back to the shop which sold me the mouse and went to see if they were selling the same model. They didn’t unfortunately. So I thought I’d try one of those “gaming” designed mouses and god was that not any better. DPI was too fast and I couldn’t change it to a suitable level. Here it is:

iGota M-561
So I went out again to buy a new mouse. This time I only looked for iRocks products since their products had been useful and the mouse was very comfortable for my hand. (I have big hands) I bought the iRocks IR-7810L and it is freaking awesome. I can now aim accurately and especially so in close quarters to which I have of course tested in-game. My previous mouse really made me bad in close quarters, added to the fact that my ping on US servers does not help (Over 200ms). Here it is:

iRocks IR-7810L
I would certainly recommend iRocks products to you if you ever needed a mouse. They are comfortable & extremely accurate when playing games. I would suggest not buying the iGota mouse unless you want to be shooting all over the place and have a weakened hand the same time as it is quite uncomfortable to play with. Though browsing the internet is fine with that mouse, it is just playing games where you are intensely using the mouse.
Whatever the case, I am happy I have found a decent mouse which didn’t cost me much.

I play a game called Project Reality, it is a great game and I enjoy playing, according to game tracker, I have so far played 250 hours of gaming on it. I have in fact played much more, since the server itself was changed last year to an upgraded server or something of that nature. – To handle the online gaming world of 64 players on huge detailed maps.
My poor overclocked 3.0Ghz CPU wasn't doing me too well. For one I wanted to record game play videos, Fraps is a very CPU intense program when recording, so I couldn't record all the time as it would drastically reduce my frame rates per second. I even purchased a new graphics card, though only because it was really cheap. I upgraded from a 9600GT 512mb to a HD 6850 (MSI R-6850), which has been working great, so great my friends come round and ask how I get such good lighting and effect when running Vista and other programs.
What CPU did I upgrade to?
I'm afraid I was a little lazy with this one. I didn't buy the CPU by itself. I bought an entire computer and simply fitted my GPU and my extra fans inside the case. It came with a 500GB hard drive, so I just installed a new copy of Windows Vista and done a Windows Update shortly after.
I upgraded to an AMD Quad Core. (Not the one in the picture) – I just liked the boxing, which is why that picture exists there, and it was somewhat relevant. With this said, my new computer came with upgraded RAM. I was previously running DDR2 RAM 800Mhz, while this upgraded computer consisted of DDR3 1333MHZ ram which is a significant improvement.
I know I don't have the best computer in the world, but you really don't have to, so I thought when I started playing Project Reality with my new setup. I can play on mostly high (If I want to record) with 8 x anti-aliasing, and I can record with decent FPS which doesn't effect my game play. I can also play on the highest resolution settings my screen/gpu can support which is great as now I can see more in my field of view, or so I think.
It is running great so far, but leaving Fraps recording seems to be a problem. When I bought this computer it came with 500 GB of disk space which runs at 7500 RPM or somewhere near that mark. – But I am actually recording the files on a 1TB 10,000 RPM hard drive. However if I record too long it seems Fraps starts to degrade in terms of my game play. When I go to task manager, my CPU is only using 17% of its total usage and my RAM has 1.5GB left since I have Windows Vista 32bit edition.
I think I can come around to workarounds in Fraps – I hope, but hopefully I can get some decent game play videos up, especially since I play within a community and within that community I am part of a squad, who I would like to show how we play and that teamwork does work in the end within the squad as well as out.
Peace out.

I was thinking of buying a “.co” domain name which Namecheap were offering at a special rate of around $11.00 and thereafter around $24.00.
I was thinking of possible domain names that I could purchase, but then I thought, why bother? I’ve owned so many domains in my time, I think I just have to stick to one website as opposed to a spread of websites which eventually burn me out of any project I have going.
I was thinking of starting a website about opinion on news stories and stuff like that, then perhaps making something out of it.
Just my little blurb for today!

I was always against using in-text advertising. But I'm using Infolinks right now on one of my websites and I'm seeing revenue where I didn't have that revenue before. I'm not making bundles of money with it, but I'm making enough with it to buy myself a sandwich in Taiwan. (Food here is cheap, so you can imagine how much I'm actually making)
It is an extra revenue source
Some people, like myself in the past, would argue that using in-text advertising may put users off. But after using it on my website which I frequent a lot, I don't notice it too much and I just keep reading articles which I proof read every time I post. However if you are struggling with AdSense, AdBrite, Clicksor, Bidvertiser or many of the other full advertisement ad companies then give Infolinks a test-run to see if it works for you.
Currently looking at my Infolink's reports, I'm only seeing around 4 – 6 clicks on average with earnings varying from $0.14 to $0.08 with all those clicks culminated together. Now I don't run a big website, nor do I pretend I do, but if you have a large website then you can earn from an extra revenue source through Infolink's or in-text advertising in-general. I've only earned around $0.50 so for this week, but I feel as the traffic for one of the websites I'm using this on increases, so will earnings.
I'm also testing out AdBrite as well. I seem to be doing much better with earnings than Infolink's, but they are two different ad-platforms so earnings will be different and a comparison doesn't seem fair. I will probably test out Kontera, which is another advertising platform which uses a similar if not the same technique of in-text advertising.

I’m going on a trip to Hong Kong this Wednesday (09/02/2011) from Taiwan to Hong Kong Intl. Airport.
I’m hoping to see an old friend who I went to school with in London but who flew back to her home country in Hong Kong after she finished her secondary school education. (Asian families who are rich or moderately rich will send their children to other countries to learn western culture and of course the language; English)
I’m quite pumped for this trip. Though it isn’t the actual reason I’m going to Hong Kong primarily. I’m doing this so I don’t overstay my stay in Taiwan of 90 days to which the UK and Taiwan representatives have agreed for a visa exempt visiting stay. I screwed up by not renewing this visitor stay by a further 90 days as you can only do that 30 days (As I found out) before you are required to leave at the start of the date you arrived in Taiwan. (If that makes any sense)
So I’m paying for that now and when I return I’ll apply for my dual nationality so I don’t have to keep doing this. But the requirement would then be myself joining the army for a year. – Which I don’t mind doing, though I’d rather not, but I will do it, if I really have to only.
It should be a good trip though. I’m a little nervous going by myself since I don’t speak Chinese well. However my mother has friends in Hong Kong who are going to take care of me. 🙂 It will be good seeing my friend again as I haven’t actually seen her for around 2 years now and she actually cried to me when she found out her family wanted her back in Hong Kong.
I find it especially funny since my sister was always talking to her saying that they’d go and see her, and they are much closer friends; yet I am the one seeing her first. :p
