My webmaster website is gaining more visitors per day than my armoured vehicle website on a day per day basis according today’s statistics. I’m going only on today’s statistics and only by a small margin is my webmaster site beating my armoured vehicle website. Which is odd, maybe not odd, however considering how well my armoured vehicle site did last month (October) it got over double the amount of visitors when comparing it to my webmaster website. If I keep gaining the same amount of unique visitors that I’m getting on my webmaster site going from today’s statistics, I’ll be gaining the same if not near enough amount when in comparison to my webmaster site. I’ve recently seen huge growth to my webmaster site where I’ve given away a free web template on a highly visited “free webtemplate site” which has a link to my webmaster site on the directory page in which the design/template is listed. That is the current main source of traffic. However my armoured vehicle site is listed on several highly visited Wikipedia pages, which is where a large percentage of my visitors come from. Though there is also equally a large percentage of organic traffic through search engines on various articles which have materialized throughout search engines such as Google.
Whatever the case, my webmaster website might be doing great at the moment. October is the current highest amount of visitors in this year in terms of unique visitors and equally in the same distinction for my armoured vehicle site, this is also the case, though my armoured vehicle website as stated has more than double the amount of visitors when comparing the two sites. I’ve also seen more money being made through AdSense and hopefully this continues so these websites become self sustainable in hosting costs.
Update [6/11/2010]
I thought I’d post a little update on this. As the 5 days since I posted this, my armoured vehicle site has raked and surged ahead of my webmaster website by quite a larger margin. My armour website is now ahead by 400 unique visitors on a “total” by total basis as of the 6th / November / 2010. I’ve created new articles, advertised by a tiny bit on AdWords (Gained around 100 unique visitors from that) and I also managed to rank higher in certain search terms for the website itself. Currently I haven’t really anything to post on my webmaster website which constitutes any value to anyone. I really just post my thoughts on my online website and test/review webmaster services like I did with Google AdWords and additionally gave away a free website design away.
Update [14/11/2010]
I thought I’d give an update on the traffic situation and on a month per month basis, traffic is getting much better. Throughout this entire year, on both websites, traffic has steadily increased. I cannot see enough clicks through AdSense per month, however it is; what it is. My armoured vehicle website is still on a steady increase of traffic and is beating my webmaster related site by quite a bit.

I usually play a game every night of this modification for the game Battlefield 2, however recently a new version of this modification came out (0.956 – Project Reality) and on this map called Burning Sands, I crashed and ever since this game has stopped working for me. I’ve done everything feasibly possible without installing Battlefield 2 to get this game working. I have un-installed and re-installed the modification as well to no avail as well as deleting the Battlefield 2 directory.
The problem
The splash screen comes up and that’s it but nothing happens beyond that, I believe the game itself freezes thus when I click on the splash screen, I then get a prompt telling me there is an error which has occurred with pr.exe.

I haven’t posted an update in quite a while and that is because I’ve been quite busy. Anyway… headsets. I break them a lot. I seem to either destroy them internally making one side of my headset not work, in some cases both or even breaking the microphone which I use for Teamspeak, Skype and other various voice over IP (VOIP) programmes. I usually order headsets that are cheap from eBay as I’m too scared to order an expensive headset in case I break it. Though that might be my problem. For example the cheap headsets I’m buying break easily to tugging of wires and generally abuse because they are… cheap? 😮
Currently I’m using a £1 headset I bought in the local market near where I live and for greater comfort and beater noise enhancement I’ve adapted the the cheap headset to my more expensive (Cheap) headset and it works fine. But I’ve ordered another headset from eBay which comes with a blue-tooth like headset for computers, except it connects via wire and isn’t blue-tooth. (It just looks like those wireless blue-tooth headsets. Wish me luck with my future headsets. 😮

Well well. I’m pretty ill at the moment. I have a sore threat which is inhibiting my speech. I literally cannot talk properly even if I try, one thing I can do is whisper. However while working and talking to customers, you tend to not whisper and actually talk to them in a professional manner. However I guess I didn’t today, which is why I am annoyed right now. The headache which I have gained trying repeatedly to explain stuff to customers at the expense of my throat being in total pain, just to squeeze that word out which I find so hard to do with this sore throat of mine. Hopefully my throat will get better soon, as I cannot live without my on-board communication tool!

Here’s the deal: I’m currently working a shitty 8 hour job at minimum wage, and all the money that I earn is helping to pay the family mortgage, food, bills and everything that can be associated with living.
It’s not that I don’t mind paying that and helping out my family. It’s just that I dream of bigger things and bigger ideas. I mean, at the age of just 17 I built own free web hosting company. I would have continued the service today had I been able devote all my time, money and energy into that, but then life just happens. It rips away at the very foundations that you try to instil in yourself. On the flip side I suppose it also makes you want to work harder, and become what you’ve always wanted to be: an entrepreneur. A person who builds things I suppose.
I guess I’ll have to wait till I’m a little older to have that financial freedom. I guess what has made me write this is the fact that a person who is as involved in the same web hosting industry as I recently ranted on about how he built his success on a web forum I frequent.
It also seemed as if his family supported if not pushed him into a certain area, which allowed him to become successful. I sometimes wish that was me, but then who doesn’t? It’s just that I thought I had that potential, and I almost did the exact same thing as that successful guy – minus being able to have the full financial power to take anything further.
Either way, time is passing and it’s as if the longer I wait, the more the opportunity is slipping away. I suppose that opportunities will always arise and I do wonder where I’ll be in a couple years’ time.

Project Reality is a game I have been playing for quite bit and quite a lot lately. It is what I’d consider my main game and I have a small IHS (In House Squad) club that I’m part of where we regularly get together to play the game how it is meant to be played. (Most of the time) What I enjoy about the game is that is the teamwork that sometimes takes place on teams however usually this only occurs in individual squads. (Having medics revive you when you go down and having that SAW keeping up machine gun fire to either suppress or kill the enemy. In this modification you can play as different factions depending on what team you are on. The factions or armies consist of Militia, Taliban, Insurgent, US Army, US Marine corps, British Army, Russian Army and the PLA. (Chinese Army) Only very recently was the Russian and US Army included in the game. However this game has leaped boundary upon boundary to get to the stage to where it is at. There are very unique functions in this game. One I want to talk about is the civilian class. The civilian class is basically a class which cannot be shot at by BLUFOR forces in a Britsh/US vs Insurgent scenario. However they can be fired upon or they should only be fired upon if they are to be aiding fellow insurgents on their team. These “civies” get rocks which they can throw at opposing forces however they can also be arrested with zipties; which means they can’t simply roam around freely without any consequences and subsequently if they are arrested they give intel points for weapons caches to the forces attacking the insurgents. They can also be arrested with a shot gun type weapon which I assume which is trying to represent a rubber bullet munition. However this is to prevent civilians screwing around with BLUFOR forces without consequence. Though it is sometimes annoying playing this class but if you use this class correctly it can be a lot of fun! The end. (more…)
