What happened yesterday and today?
I couldn’t login to my own server because my IP was banned; contacted support via MSN – they unblocked my IP in firewall. I was also thinking of running a proxy site, but I was told that the Terms and Conditions did not allow proxies; even on my own server which I’ve paid for…yes…this is a dedicated box. – Which has pissed me off greatly.
After I get my IP unbanned, I said is there a way of making it so this crap wouldn’t happen again, he said ‘yes’, and he whitelisted my IP address (or so he said) I make about 4 fail login attempts; which I try and discover what the real password is and the username. – The thing that annoys me, is that he said that he white listed my IP Address so this wouldn’t happen again; what happens? It happens AGAIN!
I now cannot access any part of the dedicated server, I can only hope it gets better – as of now, I’ve not had the best of experiences, but for now, I’ll stay with these people. ALL I WANTED, WAS IT WAS SO MY IP OR ANYTHING ELSE WOULDN’T MAKE IT SO MY IP ADDRESS WOULDN’T GO ON THE BLOODY FIREWALL…but it has, for the same reason I wanted my IP to go on the WHITELIST!
I wont reveal the host, seeing as the site isn’t fully developed. – But I will if needs be, seeing as I’ve had such a horrible experience. *NOTE: THIS IS FULL MANAGED HOSTING; as I and he both agreed to. At the moment, I’m so, so annoyed. I just wanted a bloody server which could run my sites…yet the server isn’t doing that for me.
I also have personal issues before this, which is why I’m so mad, I would normally be calm about this, but I’m pissed off seriously.
